Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island

June 18, 2010:

Brandon and I decided that we better make another trip to the Big Apple because there were things to do and places to see before we moved away. Today we took a city tour by a double decker bus and then went out to see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
Autumn enjoying the city by bus!

I love our camera.

Family Pictures-June 2010

We thought we better get some family pictures at West Point Military Academy before we moved. THANKS, Alaina for taking such wonderful family photos!

Congradulations Dr. Dahl!

Brandon completed his optometry residency in family practice from the Southern University of New York Optometry School (SUNY) in June and completed his FIRST full year being Dr. Dahl. Or as the military calls him, Captian Dahl.
Look, how HANDSOME Brandon is!!!!

Autumn fell on her head right before the ceremony. Two months later, people are still asking me what happend to her head. Ouch!

Our Little Pink Polka-Dotted Princess

You know how you have a great idea in your head, but then your idea does not turn out so great? Well... I had an idea of white beads, a princess hat, and a pink polka-dot shirt.  I believe my idea turned WAY, WAY better than I had envisioned!

Happy 8th Anniversary!

Brandon and I now have been married 8 wonderful years! Yeah!!!!! I still wake up every morning thinking, "How did I get so lucky?" He is the greatest (and most sexy) husband EVER!!!!! I love you, Brandon!

One Head Banging Machine

For a short period of time, Autumn would do this while eating. April 2010: 8 months old! Enjoy the video.

A lot of Laughter

Autumn cried the entire way back home from our eastern NY getaway. She had had enough car seat for the weekend. At dinner, she must have been in better spirits.

Weekend Getaway!

The last weekend in April our family went to Eastern New York to visit Palymra and Niagara Falls! On the first day, we visited Palymra.
We took a tour of the Smith farm, visiting the two Smith homes and the Sacred Grove. This Smith home is 85% original.

The Sacred Grove-the leaves were not yet in full bloom...

...But the flowers at the Palymra temple were!

Our last stop for the day!

Day Two: Niagara Falls, Canada and Whitmer Farm
Niagara Falls, Canada
The Niagara Falls are an jaw-dropping natural wonder! If you have never seen then I suggest that you do!
Yes, we still love to kiss after (almost) 8 years!

Spring Time is Here

After a very cold New York winter, we were happy to finally see the Spring bloosoms!

Brandon likes this picture. Take a close look at Autumn's facial expression.

NYC Here We Come- April 2010

Brandon and I made a several small trips to "the city" before we moved from New York.  Because there are sooooo many tourists, each activity took a few hours. . .and add an infant on top of that! This trip we went up the Empire State building and then went through Central Park.

It was a cold, windy Saturday!

I am a Water Baby!

Autumn has always loved the water. This was the first time that she had gone swimming. And she LOVED it! When we walked into the pool area, Autumn's eye got as big as tennis balls when she saw the water.

I just love this picture!

Happy Easter!

Autumn, I hate to say it but sometimes you have boring parents. Brandon and I did not dress her up for Halloween nor did we have the Easter bunny come this year. Why? Because she does not know the difference. Autumn did enjoy the plastic Easter eggs for many months though! - April 2010
